We hired Gary Sheats to handle our remodeling project on a high recommendation from a friend who is a Realtor. After close evaluation of several General Contractors, Gary was awarded the job based upon his engineering background, thoroughness and ability to answer all of our questions satisfactorily. His experience came through and he was able to offer several solid alternatives along the way which worked out very nice. Gary's attention to detail upfront translated to no real financial surprises throughout the project. We purchased a home in Charlotte that needed updating. The scope of work included a complete overhaul of our kitchen; cabinets, lighting, plumbing and replacement of the tile backsplash. The tile backsplash consisted of over 600 Italian stone pieces with a very tight grout line. Gary's crew did an excellent job handling the smallest details. Gary allowed us the flexibility to hire our own flooring company and the new appliances were handled by a local specialty retailer.
Our Master Bath was a complete tear out that included movement and modifications to walls. Once again Gary and his crew punched through numerous difficult issues with ease and transformed our Master Bath into our vision for the house. The new shower required plumbing, extensive tile work and a floating glass door. Large tiles were placed vertically on high walls with a level of perfection which exceeded our expectations. We were very please with the outcome of the tile flooring and custom vanity which required a lot of effort to set. Lighting, Mirrors and Hardware for the Bath were handled with ease. We had an interior 'Barn Door' installed as well, Gary and his crew went beyond to assure that it was properly installed.
Gary and his team handled our Half bath with the same care as the Master Bath. This was a floor to ceiling tear out which included Tile flooring, Vanity, Lighting, Plumbing, etc. Once again we were fully pleased with the results. We had Gary's team replace the white spindles on our staircase with wrought iron and refinish the handrails; once again the results were fantastic. Most of our house was repainted during this project; we have not had a better painter in nearly 30 years of home ownership as the one on Gary's team.
We certainly appreciate the work that Sheats Construction did and the level of communication along the way. Gary was also highly organized and kept the multiple facets of this project on schedule, which we certainly appreciated. We would easily recommend Gary and his team for any project that requires their services.
